about

“A Conversation With Death” is a compilation of various subjects I feel deeply about, and have been haunting me to write about for years. Such as greed-inspired indoctrination, pollution, war, pseudo intellectuals, and personal mental illness.

For years, these issues have left me with a disdain for humanity, leading me to feel as if I do not belong here. I see evil, selfishness, and willful ignorance everywhere I roam, and it only grows worse as time goes on.

The only true way to leave all of this behind, and start over in peace, is death. To leave this world and join the next one, dying is the result.

Now, of course, I’m not killing myself. I’ve too many people surrounding me who either need me, or want me around. However, I’ve needed an outlet, as depression is a horrible curse I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.

Depression brings all of the horrible thoughts and feelings to the forefront of your brain, draining every bit of happiness like a battery when a car’s headlights are left on overnight.

For years, this illness has made me see the bad, more than the good. The war machine, the uncivil political battle between our people, the liars spreading false information for personal gain, pollution; Human atrocities in general.

All of these things have morphed me into a very jaded, and honestly hateful person. A contrast of who I used to be.

I’ve lost much of my humanity after discovering how horrible other humans can be, as I’ve seen myself treat others poorly, and not meaning to.

As a result, I’ve struggled with the thought of leaving this world, and going to my true home, the land of peace. Where I will no longer witness evil, nor commit to it.

But I’ve seen what death does to the others surrounding those who’ve died, and I can’t justify leaving.

Now that I’ve experienced happiness, and realized this parasite is what’s forcing me to feel horrible, I’m fighting back the only way I know how.

Exposing my creativity.

So here, I’ve written an album about those feelings, just to get them out.

This is also my first album with vocals. I went for a Norwegian black metal vocal style, to blend with my blackened groove metal sound.

I’m not interested in changing a music scene, or reinventing the wheel, nor am I interested in some lame metal competition I’m not even participating in.

This album is a collection of songs detailing the issues I’ve dealt with for years. All I care about, is the fact that it’s finally done, and I can move on to future projects.

I hope you like it.
